Messages vs. Discussions

I understand the purpose of each (I think). Messages are more for general conversation where discussions are about a specific product or subject. I would suggest merging these features (for clients at least) because this is confusing. I can see our clients getting an email that we started a discussion, then going to their messages to try to reply and not seeing our original message.

I would also suggest that the clients be able to initiate the conversation in a discussion by choosing a subject created by the designer, or if there is no appropriate subject, having a discussion subject like "misc" that the designer can later move to a different category/subject.

I like the location of messages in the client portal, quick and easy to access - maybe it could stay there and record to the discussions tab in the project where the designer could organize by subject if the client didn't assign one... I'm shooting from the hip here, lol.
